When Drew graduated from Radnor High School, his parents sent him off to college with the hope that he might become a lawyer or a consultant. Instead, his love of academia developed into a love for teaching. After graduating, Drew pursued his passions through a year of residency at two public schools in the north of France as an English instructor. He was amazed by his students’ capacity to learn and by their endless zeal for exploring any trace of American culture. Today, Drew wonders why all of his students aren’t equally as captivated by his old Little League baseball pictures.

Although he is a lover of the French language and the humanities at heart, he is gifted in a multitude of academic areas. As a National Merit Scholar and winner of the Gardner Prize for excellence in French (an accolade awarded to the French department at Vanderbilt’s top performing senior), along with his background in quantitative public policy, he offers his students a range of expertise to suit a variety of needs.

Drew’s teaching style is flexible, as he has experience tutoring students from the middle school level in remedial English all the way through advanced college-level calculus courses. He is known for being approachable, open to all questions, and thorough; for him, like the rest of our team, teaching is a pleasure. He seeks to inspire all his students to find their passions in the classroom, as he did.
