Colleen's passion for teaching began in her senior year of undergrad when she took an elective course in which was placed in a local school district. The classroom was calling to her, and she knew instantly that teaching was her path. She pursued a graduate degree and, since then, she has dedicated countless hours to honing her craft, absorbing as much information as she can get her hands on, and learning new instructional techniques. Through her decades of teaching experience, she has had the opportunity to educate students in a variety of grades and academic levels, teaching them a variety of social studies’ curricula.
Beginning in 2014, she successfully built two AP programs in both AP World History and AP U.S. Government and Politics for local school district. In the last ten years, she has expanded her areas of passion to further include World History and United States Government. She thoroughly enjoys working 1-to-1 with students to foster confidence and academic success.
